Cannot seem to fit my woolly hat under the helmet and it's probably not advisable but what does anyone else use for winter?

The branded ones are quite expensive but you can sometimes find them on sale or 'fake' ones for less. The cafe half way around Coed y Brenin used to sell them for a few quid and an MTB magazine that's not MBUK occasionally give them away with the magazine.0 -

I use a headband. Keeps my ears and forehead warm whilst allowing the vents in my helmet to keep me cool still.

I use a thin wooly hat - obvious really! It's a merino wool one & works well in really cold weather. Headbands that go over the ears work well too.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

One of these works a treat for me down to about 1 or 2C. Folds into no space at all so can be removed and stuffed in a pocket if you get too warm. It still keeps you warm when it's wet and dries really quickly.http://www.strathspey.co.uk - Quality Binoculars at a Sensible Price.
