Changing head angle with a headset

Has anyone used one of them headsets that can change the head angle a degree or two,if so are they any good and any recommendation for one that's not to pricey.

Depends what sort of headset you require - do you know the headtube standard?0

You mean an angleset? Think the works one is the cheapest at about £80. They do what you require of them, not really a case of them being any good or not... It does depend on your head tube though.0

It's just a thought at the moment, I'm will soon be getting a charge cooker so the next question is how would it be with a 29er, I have not ridden anything with a 71 degree head angle for a long time and not sure i want to go back to it as I like a slacker head angle, but then again I don't know how a 29er is going to ride.It's not a ornament, so ride It0

29ers have steeper angles because the fork trail is different - they don't feel as steep as they do with a 26er.0

It's the bike I have been offered for a replacement on a insurance claim after been knocked off of my Scott 50 ss, the bike shop are no longer the Scott dealers and the Charge is what they say is the closest.It's not a ornament, so ride It0 -

Quote maybe, but the insurers won't make you use the same shop if they don't stock the bike. More likely to (try) make you use some rubbish outfit that gives them fat discounts and give you a buying order.I don't do smileys.

I shell look into this, I only have a choice of 3 main bike shops on the island I live on and I'm not sure if any of them have taken on the Scott dealership yet.It's not a ornament, so ride It0

Well, if you do end up needing an angleset, I have been using a works one for a few years now and I've had no issues with it or the bearings. Changes in geometry are entierly individual. They rarely 'improve' a bike as improvements depend on your impression of it in the first place.0
