    another poorly thought out questionnaire.

no nothing would make me more likely to use protection! I was already wearing some.

sorry but yet again you show that people who join up to post questionnaires do not seem to be people who actually ride bikes.

    it was short though.

    That it? Done anyway.
I can't wait to see bib shorts with built in shoulder protection.

  • Cheers for the responses, I do actually cycle, I have raced downhill, I still go a weekly cross country ride, and do a bit of road stuff since coming to uni. This is just an idea for uni purposes, and the survey is pretty quick, but its just to try and gain an understanding of the intrest if any. I have quiet a few mates who have came of bikes and broken collar bones and you see it very commonly in road racing yet theres nothing out there to protect and from what im finding its pretty hard to do. Bib shorts were just an example, I dont intend on making exoskeleton bib shorts. But again cheers for the responses anyway.
  • I agree with Nick. One more survey which looks like it was created by someone with no real concept of what they're trying to ask or how to ask it whilst sat on the bog.

I'd be pretty concerned if you're in your 4th year of uni and you're planning on turning that drivel in as part of a project.

How can you have a survey on shoulder injuries and protection without even bothering to ask people if they currently wear any?

I think the problem with protecting collar bones is that if they don't "give" then something else has to...and that might well be your neck....at least that is what the surgeon rebuilding my wife's collar bone said after she smashed that and her shoulder blade hitting the deck (off a horse not bike but same effect!)
