Child Bike Seat

Looking to get my boy a child bike seat to attach to my Scott Mountain bike. He turns three this week and weighs 2.5 stone (35 lbs) and as yet can't ride a bike on his own.

So couple of questions:

1. Is he too big for a child bike seat, or will he grow out of it quickly?

2. Any recommendations

I would have thought at 3 / 35lbs he is to big, might be best with a trailer or tagalong. Why not get him on a balance bike to get him started. I used to drag my youngest around on an Adams trailabike when he was 3 1/2. Try Ebay as they grow so fast its not really worth buying new.

topeak bike carriers suggest up to 40lb, so may quickly outgrow those.

Go for a trailer, much better option.
