Places to shower near Old Street/Shoreditch?

I've been looking at jobs in the Shoreditch area which would be an 8 mile ride for me but the workplace that I visited today didn't have any shower facilities.
I was wondering if there was any kind of cheap gym or maybe even something especially for cycling commuters to shower before work in that area? If not, with the massive rise in cycling over the last year and Shoreditch's obsession with fixies, you'd think it'd be a pretty good market to tap into.

If you wear a merino base layer, you don't need to shower... it soaks up the sweat leaving no BO ... it's the male commuter's best kept secret... 8)left the forum March 20230

haha, I just don't think I could sit at work for the next 8 hours without having had a shower. Not just for other peoples benefit.0 -
My workplace is in Shoreditch and it's an 11-12 mile ride. No shower, so I just wipe down with a few baby-wipes (Huggies Natural) and get changed. No complaints, though I happen to wear merino MacPac tops, as Prhymeate suggests.
So, you don't really need a shower in Shoreditch, just a pair of RayBans, skinny jeans and an ironic haircut0 -
I had this problem earlier this year. I was interviewing for a new job at a firm in the City with no shower. I didn't want to join another gym as I've already got membership which I'm happy with. There didn't seem to be any "shower only" gym memberships available anywhere... In the end I joined a company with shower facilities. I think most offices have their own showers so not sure how much of a market there would be for setting shower only cyclist facilities... Perhaps showers with indoor secure bike parking and mechanics/repair facilities all in 1 building? That might generate enough income...Do not write below this line. Office use only.0

As others have said, wear the right gear and carry some baby wipes. No shower required.0
