...yesterday, right on my route in: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-20404336

Driver arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving...

Funny thing is, I had a rare near miss on that stretch yesterday...car pulls in at speed from A13 into a side road without looking, I'm not paying enough attention but luckily see him just in time, brakes on, bike goes all over the place and luckily I stayed on. In truth I was angry with myself for not looking further ahead, but if you're gonna turn into a side road you normally look to see if there's anything there?

It's a horrible stretch of cycle path, loads of side roads and bad (no) maintanance

Just seen that on the BBC website. RIP to the cyclist and condolences to his nearest and dearest.
    Lets be careful out there.

Always brings it home that bit more poignantly when you share something with the victim. For you it was the route, for me it is his age. Poor guy, and sad for his family. :-(
