Tyre pressures

OK, so my tyres should be inflated to around 100 psi. No problem, I have a small high pressure bike pump which should do the job.
Problem is, how do I know when the said tyres are inflated to 100 psi. Is there a gauge/indicator available to tell me what pressure my tyres contain?

Yep, it's on the track pump that you need to buy. Way, way easier.
yes little gauges are also available from eg Halfrauds.0 -
Life would be much easier for you with a track pump. Get one that handles high pressures.
Or you could just buy a separate gauge. If anything the mini pump will make for a good arm workout.0 -

Any recommendations on relatively cheap, good quality examples of track pumps guys?0

I have this one - I think it was a bit cheaper back when I bought it.

Get a decent track pump, one that has a gauge and is capable of pumping over 100psi LOL. My first cheapy years ago couldn't get past 90 psi without the need of a hefty 2 foot jump to press it down. The Joe Blow seems to get good reviews.CAAD9

I have the Joe Blow track pump and its great, flat to 100psi in under a minute and thats including connecting and disconnecting. Works a treat.0

I've this one and it works great. It inflates in 160psi and gets to 100psi in only a few pumps.

Let's not start saying what tire pressures should be as it depends on the user+bike weight and the tire width.

At a 60% / 40% split you may be surprised at how little pressure you actually require in the front tire. Try it before you criticise and I guarantee you will NOT get pinch flats or increased rolling resistance and best of all its comfy!Giant XTC Pro-Carbon

My Specialized Airtool Sport hasbeen going strong for ten years now, one of the best investments I've ever made and well worth every penny. The Joe Blow gets great reviews too.0

What I use also. A really great piece of kit. I recently bought my brother a track pump however, and not being made of money I went for the £20 mark. I chose Parktool, and he's delighted with it, which befits my erstwhile confidence in that company and its products.0 -
For those with an iPhone Vittoria have a free app that will give you the optimal start point for your tyre pressure (up to you to fin tune). It takes account of weight, road conditions, terrain, tyre type/construction and rider weight.0
