During the TOB I emailed Sky to say my sons were in School working hard and couldn't get to see the TOB.
I asked if it might be possible for them to send a little token to them.
I wanted to keep their interest in cycling right up there.
Didn't hear anything until last week when I got an email from Team Sky, followed shortly after by A bag of goodies a couple of bags, pens, water bottles and a whole stack of team cards. The boys are over the moon.
Thank you Team Sky!!!

It was brilliant, my eldest son keeps staring at the pictures of Brad and Cav, he calls Cav the rocket guy, I keep saying Manx Missile, he laughs his head off.
The cards are now stuck on his wall, and yesterday we had a lengthly conversation regarding Brad's altercation with a car.
I bought him an Islabike Beinn, couldn't get him on it at first, now can't get him off the thing.
It's great, but after a bit of a Friday night session, to be woken at 6.30 to "daddy, daddy, can we go for a bike ride"
can be a tad tiring but it soon blows off the cobwebs.0 -
thats nice, reminds me when I was a kid I found a ford employee security pass on the buss floor. I posted it to them with a letter I had found it and asked if they can sent me a brouchure on the new escort cosworth as it was my dream car (as a kid) they got the card rung me up and invited me for a test drive round the test track in it and then gave me a poster that was as big as my room. Happy child. Now I can afford one, I bought a bike instead, Sorry fords.0

It's just ShutUpLegs, he (she?) specializes in the sort of bitter humour that makes other people edge away nervously...- - - - - - - - - -

Bitter, that just about sums it up.
I get caustic humour; I really do!
Really though, some people who just can't help themselves, feel the need to be spiteful, perhaps he/she will one day be comfortable in their own skin, maybe as the cortex matures s little.
Some may find it funny, I find it pathetic and sad that he/she feels the need to be negative. A trait I am sure is reflected in their day to day life, a miserable existence I suspect, filled with an acute lack of self awareness.
99.9% of those on this forum are fantastic, helpful and informative.0 -
Hahaha I read your op shortly after you posted and then today saw the 9 comments and thought I bet someone has had a little dig, and low and behold they have!!!!
Gotta love the bike radar forums, well at least your not getting hassle for having your bike stolen!!!!One plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling0 -
It's a shame, but as I said I think the great majority of people on here are good folks.
Enough said!0
