Been out this morning to wash my winter bike ready for the months ahead to find its been stolen..... These people really have no shame. I've no idea what they expect to get for it it's a f*****g winter bike.... To say I'm fuming is an understatement what am I gonna ride now....arggghhhh

Anyway if anyone on here lives in the Leeds area pls keep your eyes peeled for a Ridley Triton winter bike with guards and dura ace groupset that may be offered for sale.

I've had 2 bikes stolen in the last month. Both where double locked at the time and taken in daylight in open areas.
There are a lot of thieving scumbags out there

Yes it's annoying, I've not done bad really it's the 2nd bike I've ever had stolen in my life so doing pretty well cos I've had a fair few.... It's still,crap though and just another spanner in the works to set back winter training. Looks like the mtb will be used more this winter.

Thanks I've already looked and also on eBay. I'm not that convinced there even that thick to sell stuff on there anymore, it's an open invite to say hi it was me...

Dont under estimate the stupidity of some of these scum.I had a bike stolen and cpl days later a nieghbour knocked my door and said he seen my bike at a booty.Went up and yep was my bike.As far as ebay goes some one i know had a sea kayak nicked from the top of his car and within a week was advertised in same area on ebay.
So keep looking,you never know.

Sorry to hear about the theft. Can you provide any details of how it was pinched? Might help others to avoid the same? Had someone have a go at getting into my shed/workshop a year or so ago. Luckily they woke my next door neighbour who was good enough to chase them off! Have beefed up the locks a little since then but you can only do so much...

I saw a Ridley Triton on Gumtree the other day. The seller didn't seem to know anything about it, just saying it had a Shimano groupset. It's gone now. It was in Inverness.

Oh and might be worth letting re-cycle engineering know about your bike as I think they deal with second hand bikes.

I've had two bikes stolen this year, the road bike has been replaced on insurance but not my spare bike. I'm still waiting to replace the hybrid as I've not got the funds together yet.

I have to say that when I'm going out on my bike now I never lock it up....it's either in my hand or under my arse!!!

Please guys dont let your bikes out of your site.locks are no good.Bike thiefs are clever planners aswell as opportunists.I sleep better at night knowing my bike is safely inside the house.

Well I've always said if they want it bad enough they will take it. The bike was locked to a stand in a locked compound outside our apartments. Where I live is very quiet and I'm surprised tbh it was taken. I'm starting to think that whoever has taken it was tipped off. Because apart from the people who live here mostly old retired, we don't see anyone...

I'm not sure the privacy setting is as secure as I'd like it to be, if you looked at a load of rides by an individual you could work out where the centre of the circle was. Probably best to turn it on/off when you're about a mile away from home

You can always set the privacy setting a few streets away from yours.

Hi no I'm not. Is it the GPS route tracking? Tbh all that's pretty new to me I'm a get on and ride guy.... I have a computer with HR etc but I don't keep or log any tech data etc, not that type of person. It's a good point though and probably now you mention it something that we should all be aware of. I'm glad they took my winter bike and not my best bikes.
