Ant+ computer/iPhone apps

Looking for advice on ant+ devices. Have a Giant Defy Advanced with their ant+ Ridesense sensor. Looking to buy an ant+ compatible device to combine with a heart rate monitor. No sure whether to go down the iPhone app route or buy a stand-alone cycle computer or whether it's possible to have a combination? Thoughts and advice gratefully received.
