Replace fork lowers or paintable?

Hello everyone

I've seen some Rockshox sectors 140mm solo Airs I like the look and price of. Unfortunately they are in white but I was really after black! Is replacing the lowers easy and cheap, or, is a respray and new stickers a better option?

I don't dislike white forks but had planned to get black (but the price and condition made me think).

It's for a frame swap to a c456 btw

Wouldn't it make sense to price up new lowers first - might not be such a bargain.
Anything can be painted.

Swapping lowers isn't hard but can be pricey.

It's just a metal so they can be sprayed or powdercoated (correctly masked!) easily enough, but ideally would be removed and coated before refitting.
