Morning Losers!

Voting for a police sherriff thing today.... I'm not entirely sure what it's for, as the coverage for it has been so rubbish. Will probably vote no, as it has fewer letters than yes, and I don't like counting in the morning. It's as good an excuse as any.

I have 'The Big Cheese' visiting me at work today (no the one from here that goes through bikes more than hot dinners), he's trying to visit everyone at work to 'learn more about what they do'. I'm not worried, I think it's a good idea to be honest. Hopefully we're busy today, and he'll understand a bit more about how we're understaffed and underpaid :D

Anywho, Laters!

Good luck with that one. I find that the bigger the cheese, the harder their hearing.

The day is off to a good start with the weekends supply of bacons and eggs being consumed early. :D Also brought the other bike into work today as I have a few things to do afterwards.

Getting used to tea without cake now and I'll probably reap the rewards sometime, somewhere, on a climb but I do miss a good slice of cake.

    Later......

    Mornin' snowballers,

Another day, another dollar, but seeing aman later tonight about a different job. Always good to keep options open, I find.

In the meantime, it'll be back to workshop to continue working towards my robot-based future-world Bwahahahahaaa. ...and planning a Sunday ride to help a mate get his new 29er mucky.

Onwards! To caffiene! And map perusal!

Meh uni stuff today. Driving back up to home later though so that will be nice. I like going home. Home is good. Free food etc.

Today is meeting and hopefully home at a decent time as I am knackered

    Morning Feckwits of the crud.
Today is payday, normally a happy day but one of the minions has not been paid for some reason? this is making my life hell. (i genuinly feel sorry for him, not like me)
Last night was spent playing with the new bike and tonight will be spent building back up Shakira as she turned up yesterday too. 8)
I think Bacons and lemsip are on the cards this morning and also paying off the very last bit of debt. then i'll be 100% debt free until i move into the new house.

    Morning mongs!

Today I will not be voting, as I have no idea who the people are and I refuse to vote on the basis of which party they belong to.

Later I will be hoping that some of the stuff I've ordered turns up.

    Time for tea!

    mornin dribblers...

Did a 20 minute threshold test on the turbo last night, nearly didn't make the last few minutes as i thought my lungs/heart were going to actually come out of my mouth... just laid on the floor in the garage for several minutes after gasping with my head spinning...

Surprisingly I feel quite good this morning, could have something to do with my holiday next week...

    2 days to go :D
A berm? were you expecting one?

    Morning Scuttlers
Today will be a lovely chill day sorting out some admin and shopping for spds for Zapp. I figure a road bike is the best place to try them out.

I would be enjoying today but turns out life is merely a process of existence so I'm just going to exist happily by having a walk ;)

Last night's baking went badly, and having seen the entries for the Bake off at work I'm really gutted!
Saw a job yesterday at a place I'd love to work, although is technically less money, and is in a rubbish town 2 hours away I'm going to apply anyway ... so I'm in the process of updating my CV and filling out the application form. God know what I'd do if I actually get an interview/an offer... Work it out if it happens!

I had apple pie with custard last night. Loved it!! (though not home made)

For the job, if you get an interview, still go for it, explain to them that you would be taking a wage cut and they may try and sort something out. Which town out of curiosity?

    Afternoon losers,

Not at work so had a lie in then made a fried egg sandwich for breakfast. Night ride last night will be repeated tonight on a different bike, forgot how much fun you can have alone in the woods in the dark.

Nothing else to report except that my sons walking frame will be here soon, didn't know if it would be here by Christmas but now we should have it next week and set up within a fortnight, possibly. Happy days.

I didn't really want to move To Cardiff to be honest, it was a heavy paycut in real terms worse working conditions, higher cost of living but I had to do it to facilitate my real aim of moving to Pembrokeshire or Carmarthernshire as an internal transfer is by far the easiest way in. Now I'm here I like it, still looking to move on but I'm comfortable that I at least have a pathway. I've turned off the motorway that goes nowhere, turned back on myself and am trundling down the best road to where I want to be in the right direction and enjoying the view as I go

    Cardiff = city + riding

Milton Keynes = grey + hang oneself through despair at how grim the place is

My next career move will be to South Wales me thinks. Like the real world but greener and more mountainous.

I would take less money to have a better quality of life outside work, but definitely not in MK!

I agree with you, however I do have a couple of friends in London/MK, there's the SnoZone there, and the job would be a step towards something I'd actually enjoy doing...even if temporarily it would mean quite a lot less money and therefore being unable to do some of the things I love. I could potentially even commute, or only live there Mon - Fri... I probably won't even get an interview, but I'm going to give it a go! What's the worst that could happen?

    No harm is there.

As I've been in philosophical mood lately, i took a massive well 10k per year first year then 5k. Second, plus lost overtime, pay cut when i trained as a driver. Id just bought a house when i got the opportunity and my ex fiance said shed get a job and support the defecit. She did far all except continue to leach and laze so she went out the door. So i had 6 months livinga bachelor life and met Mrs g. It damn nearly bankrupt me but 8 years on i earn three times what i used to and mostly happy with my job.

Grab your chances while you can if you can afford to

And i can get to MK in half the time it takes me to get to notts ;)

i took a 3k a year pay cut for this job, but i work less hours and my quality of life has greatly improved.

It's a bit tricky because technically I'd only be taking a £800 pay cut, however my current living costs are way below the average. Will work it out if I get there!
