Came a cropper today, don't know if I was hit or fell, I have no recollection. Just got my Bryton 50 back and it happened on a straight piece of road.
Fractured wrist, badly swollen hip and cuts and bruises to my face. Scary thing is, I cannot remember cycling the remaining two miles to work. I went down a road I wouldn't normally use.
Oh well a few days off the bike, which incidentally has no damage
I ache

I tried to warn people...
Sounds bad though.. if you came off that badly on a straigh piece of road it would suggest you were hit? (unless it was downhill?)0 -
diesel spill?
Hope it heals quick
Impressed if you back on the bike after a few days with a broken wrist0 -

I cannot remember the route I took to work, so must have had a good whack on the head. They did do a head scan at the hospital, all must have been clear. If I had been knocked off I wouldn't have remembered as all is still blank. Weird when you cant remember.
I certainly ache this morning, my hip is still swollen, lucky I never broke it. Crazy thing is, cant wait to get back on the bike.0 -

Mud on the road left by a tractor and a slightly off camber road and it can cause the back wheel to step out on you - nearly caught me out a couple of times on straight roads. If you're riding at a fair pace this twitch of the back wheel can be enough to throw you off the bike - happened to a mate.
Riding in the dark you don't tend to spot mud on the road easily until you're on the slippery stuff, by which time it's like riding on ice.0 -

Yup and it has a slight split, so it did the job. Probabley save me from a fractured skull. Learned from my Motorbike days, after a bang, bin them and get a new un.0
