Sram 2011 and 2012 compatibility ?

Just wondering if anyone knows if the new 2012 red front mech will run with 2011 shifters and chainset ?

    I'm just in the process of building a bike with 2012 Yaw front mech and 2012 shifters but with a s950 chainset (which is in effect a 2011 chainset). The old 2011 shifters have a trim function which is not present on the 2012 version and supposedly the Yaw mech works better with a 2012 chainset. I've got my setup working pretty well. No rub at all when on the big ring and just a little when on small/small. I'm happy with this and it is much better then my 2011 setup. Not sure if the trim function on the 2011 shifter will make things any better or worse, I tend not to use it on my 2011 setup...
