Love the fact that people have brains that come up with this sort of thing .... innovation is a great and valuable thing but it's like they don't trust us to get it right for ourselves...A person who aims at nothing is sure to hit it

Considering the number of people that can't use gears properly without breaking a chain, I can see a future in thisleft the forum March 20230

I like the idea of a cable-less system. Not sure I need a phone to change gear for me though. Same as an automatic car really, unless it's for medical reasons I can't see the point.0

Thought it would come sooner rather than later. You'd think it would have a little gadget with a power/cadence monitor which you could alter to suit your race situation!
Take all the fun out of the game though.0 -
Good idea if it works, also great that it gets set up personally by you and not some misconception of what is the right cadence. Would need and override button though for sprints.
I'm more interested in the ABS system to come that would be nice to know is working for you.0 -
Efficiency will be a key factor - unless it can replicate the efficiencies of a modern bike transmission then it will be a non-starter.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

That's funny - I was thinking about a system exactly like that yesterday. Was going up a hill with my hands on the top of the bars and was was thinking "Hmm.....with the new electronic shifters, there's no reason why it couldn't be wireless or even automatic based on cadence and speed".
Damn. Beaten to it....0 -
When youy get that annoying ghost shift the bike does all on its own and takes you by suprised with a big clunk, I really wouldnt want that every time you started to wind it up for a sprint, I think I would rather make my own choice on when the bike changes gear.0
