Pedals: Shimano M520 vs M540

Is there any real performance difference between the two pedals? Is the M540worth the extra £15?
Would be riding XC and not downhill or mad jumps etc.

Constantly trying to upgrade my parts.It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.

    check crc they have the m530's which have a small platform for just over 20 quid, I just bought some Xt trails, a similar pedal and they seem great so far :D
