Which cassette & a trainer wheel (wanted)

Can anyone help me identify what cassette I have on my cube peloton race 2013.

It's a triple, shimano 105 and the biggest ring has 30 teeth?

I am after it to put together a spare wheel for my turbo trainer. If anyone has a fairly cheap wheel and is near the MCR area please let me know!

    If like me, you're only using the turbo for general fitness through the winter, ie, you're not going mad on the bloomin thing, i would'nt bother with a specific wheel and tyre.
    Used my turbo for years with the normal wheel and tyre on....no damage whatsoever to the tyres (Gators).
    I dont use excessive tyre to flywheel pressure , just have it so it it grips nicely.

    It's not necessary to have the same ratios on the cassette for a training wheel.
    I have 11-25t on my road wheel and 12-28t on my turbo trainer wheel with no issues swapping between the two.

    I agree that you don't need to worry too much about an exact match as long as you are within tolerances (you don't want to be sticking a 12-23 on to regularly replace a 12-30, etc., but an 11-27 would do).

    So, to identify the cassette you need...first count the number of cogs on the cassette you have. I suspect it will be 10 speed so have 10 cogs. Then count the number of teeth on the big cog and the teeth on the smallest cog. Then, fit out your turbo wheel with the cheapest matching spec (as in, go down the Shimano range where possible). However, a 30 tooth cog means you probably already have a Tiagra 12-30 so that will do nicely as Tiagra works great, is compatible with 105 and offers great VFM. SRAM will also work, btw, as long as you match right.

    Thanks guys - any old rear wheels knocking about in garages??! Any cheap suggestions? Easton ea30 at present

    Shimano R500 will do you fine for the turbo, £50 brand new if you shop about or try 'tinternet for resells but beware of those that have been thrashed to death already (they come with a wear indicator etched into the rim, btw). They are 8, 9 and 10 spd compatible but you will need to fit the 10 spd spacer that should come with a new cassette (assuming you are indeed 10 spd).
