Hi.
After selling my cannondale rize140, I decided to build some SS.
Today I bought brand new TREK RIG from my local bike shop for ~455pounds
Frame: TREK RIG
Forks: FOX RL
Bars: Bontrager Race Big Sweep
Stem: Bontrager SSR
Grips: Bontrager
Brake set: Avid Juicy 3
Rotors: Avid G2
Seat: Bontrager EVOKE R1
Seat Post: Bontrager
Cranks: Truvative “crap”
Pedals: some plastic crap
Wheelset: Bontrager Mustang SS
Tires: Bontrager 29-3
I'm planing to change: brakes, cranks, handle bar, seat post, stem, grips, pedals, rotors, seat, wheels (a bit later)
Next week I will order some new bits from bike-discount.de

So you buy a new bike, then change over everything apart from the frame and forks?

Mhm, math isn't your strong side, I think. Trek offered me frame for 250 pounds, and how much cost new FOX fork?
P.s. 570 eur cost that bike0 -
I'm not the one who just spent €570 on a singlespeed bike I intend to change pretty much everything on. I don't think it's my maths we need to be worrying about here chap.
The important thing is that you're happy with your new bi.......... oh, wait, never mind.0 -
Yes, it isn't rational, but it's a lot more cheaper then separate frame and forks0

I see where Emseens is coming from, at £455 that is a bargain for what you get, he could have sold on the as new stuff taken off for close to what some of the upgrades would have cost!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
