GoPro - Cheap pole mount option

I've got a GoPro, and being a biker I also have the handle bar mount. I'm guessing there are also quite a few other people who use this forum that do too.

I decided I want to do some 'off the bike' filming and fancied getting a pole mount. Quite a few people suggested using a ski pole but as its tapered at the bottom the handlebar mount tends to slide off. It's also one length...

So a trip to Asda and £5 spent got me one of these...



I have chopped each end off (the useful bits haha) and now I have an adjustable pole mount for my GoPro... For £5. And a handlebar / seat post option too. Just the pole mount alone on GoPole is £30 so I think it's pretty good.

Hopefully you all agree and don't slag this off ha! :]

Got the white version for £199 at Swinnerton Cycles in Fenton, Staffs. CRC have them in stock too I think.

A guy I know did a similar thing with an old walking crotch to his helmet, this was the result. I think it's pretty cool
