Without knowing the full spec, cannot tell you about value. There is only about 20% of it listed there, and no details of year or anything!
  • I'm new to bikes, what sort of specs should I look out for ?

Looks old from the picture, with very basic forks.
  • Yeah the forks don't have lock out. After I went to see it he text me back offering me it for £270. I bet I could get less for it, I recon £200. But I want something decent, if it doesn't seem to fit the bill, I'll leave it and look for another. I think the frame is 2008
  • That looks suitable, would it be okay for doing a little touring as well? I thought If i bought second hand i could save and getting something really good.

Is it not worth it in the long run?

    What about this?

  • What????

You go from a £200 hardtail to a £600 DH bike?

    For touring?

Looks old and probably not worth it. Also has its seatpost on backwards.

You're headed for a world of pain if you go touring on that thing. BMW motorcycles are lighter than that thing.
Go for a new Decathlon Rockrider, it's a safe buy, will do what you want & comes with a warranty.
