Mehning Losers!

I'm shattered. Need more sleep. I'm wondering whether the light from a digital clock in my room is disturbing my sleep as I noticed it looking very bright this morning. I shall cover it tonight and see how I feel in the morning.

Apparently I've 'finally' caught up with all my work, and can stop worrying (well, worrying my boss). She wants me to be excited, but to be honest, I don't care. I'm sure something will break soon and I'll be getting blamed.

Harrogate later for fish and chips with the Aunt.

Laters!

Into Cambridge early to Yak with people in China who want me top go there on Tuesday. A hard day ahead and then stay in this evening to Yak with people in California (who don't want me EVER to go there). Too much Yakking for my liking.

Brought the other bike into work this morning but just as I got here is started to misfire and run rough like it was missing a cylinder. I had only just filled up with petrol so there may be something to look into there. I just know it will be expensive to fix. I’ll drop it into the garage tonight.

So, a crappy start to the day but it is one step closer to the weekend. I may have to have some beer to numb the pain of the bike repair cost.

    Tea and digestives are calling.

    Later……

    Morning ladies,

Monday turned out to be my Friday which is always a nice way to start the week but since then my son has thrown up anything we've given him. He slept well last night and that means so did I. Today will be another day of mostly nothing except choosing between watching Jeremy Kyle or Jeremy Clarkson.

  • Morning homos!

Seriously toying with the idea of giving the Reed a good clean and service this weekend then putting it away for the remainder of the year and focusing on road riding for a bit.

Just seem to be enjoying that much more at the moment and it's really bringing my fitness on loads.

Interestingly enough I've been contemplating that too, around here it's too sloppy and trails are few and far between, my rides end up half on the road anyway... just not sure if I'm really ready to commit to the lycra or not

Just crawled in, great night last night, thankfully uni today and tomorrow are virtually non-existant. Winner. Might do some work, clean the bike, grab a bit more sleep too probably.

Two bottles of wine on a School night are not fun the next morning.

Day off tomorrow for decorating so today is my Friday.

Bugger all to do today now I,ve popped my rotor and cassette back on Amy so I'm off down for a blast on Zapp to try out this ere road biking and see if it splits my anus and makes me attracted to men. I'm going to wear baggy clothes in an attempt to masculate it as a sport.

Big carvery for tea tonight to lay down some baffle for a heavy two days drinking tommorrow and saturday

    Afternoon Sausage Jockeys,

Been working hard this morning getting prepped up for next weeks interview, now it's time to head out and get a bucket of coffee and some food down me. Then I'll be dropping by my cousins new house tonight and will get a very nice dinner cooked for me as she and her bloke are both amateur chef types and can cook much better that the wife can :)

Bike tomorrow if the weather holds up.

This is the problem I'm having. We don't have any trail centres here, so there are no properly weatherproofed trails. With all the rain we've had this year we've had loads of land-slips and stuff, and the trails that WERE holding up are now so over-ridden they're starting to break down quite badly. There are very few descents left where you can really pin it. So you put in a load of effort on the climb, but don't really get a proper payoff. I can't see it drying out any over the coming months. Would rather get on the road, concentrate on building fitness, and hit it hard again next year once we've had chance to rebuild some of the better trails.

Plus it gives me a bit more time to steal more KOMs off the roadies

I third that, yeah ok going up a mucky trail tests your skills on the way back down, but I dont always want to test myself to the limit, sometimes I just want to go balls to the walls fast and you just cant do that in the winter, so to get mile munching and ride on occasion would be cool. Plus only having a day off a week and Sunday then every fith week I dont get all that much chance to load the car up and go and ride trails so to be able to just bound out the front door and turn the legs over for a couple of hours is welcome
