Hi
looking to buy my first gps.
it will be solely for MTB. HR would be nice but dont need cdence.
my question is that if i solely intend using routes that have already been uploaded do i need a map pack?
if i want to plot my usual rides do i need a map pack or will basemap that it comes with do that?
and can anyone give me a reason NOT to buy the 705 as the 800 is very pricey!

They do seem to be dropping in price, I would def go for the 800 even if you don't need that maps
