rivet on new carbon frame failure

I have recently bought a new cinelli carbon frame. When putting the bike together I accident put a tiny mark on the top tube. Nothing major but I can notice it.....my question is though I also found that one of the rivets (of two)that hold the frame mount for the front mech cable casing onto the underside of the downtube sort of fell apart with the ball of the rivet coming out when i was putting the cables onto the bike.

It sort of looked like that when it was being made the rivet partially pulled back through the frame and didn't install correctly.

What this means is that the mount to the frame only has on rivet in place. I have no idea if this is going to be OK or if it can be repaired. If I hadn't put the scratch on the toptube it would be going straight back. As I did scratch it......and it was a frame that was on sale, I'm not sure what to do

It's a warranty claim - the fact that there is cosmetic damage to the frame (which is expected is use) has no bearing on defective manufacture. Take it back to the shop and don't let them fob you off about it needing to go back to the distributor (that's their problem, not yours) - they can either repair (feasible) or replace. The fact that you bought it at a discount is irrelevant - the issue is whether it is fit for purpose - the fact that the loose mech hanger renders the bike useless.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Thanks for the advice. I'll talk to the shop when back from hols.

BTW it's not the hanger, it is the little frame mounts that keep the cable casing in place on the downtube.
