After some infomation, I work Nigeria and its not possible to ride outside, I can buy a bike of some sort overhere and was looking at bringing some rollers back with me, are they easy to use and are they best on a road or mtb ? any thoughts

  • it would be easier to transport a turbo trainer than rollers imho.

you can generally find both that will work with MTB and road bikes

Why is it not possible to ride outside?

  • I'd imagine at least partially because of this:

and partially because of the fact he'll be robbed and killed, then robbed and killed again (calm down, it's on a little bit stereotypical and racist )

That looks preferable to my daily commute down the biggest parking lot in the world, the M25. (with the M3 and A3 thrown in for a bit of extra fun.

But,you don't need a Police escort every time you leave your house.
Hobbo, are you not staying at a compound?
I've spent quite bit of time there, offshore, PH and Lagos.
When I was in the compound (ELF village), I just used the training bike in the gym.
Any bike you buy over there is going to be right piece of sh!t. You'd be better off taking a cheapo 2nd hand bike from home and dashing your guy at the airport to get it through security.

Use PH as a base for when I'm not on site, only small compound so so gym, thought about bringing a bike but would be easy to get a frame and wheels overhere, then bring drivetrain from UK, got drivers looking for bike now so will see what they come up with
