A mate of mine has bought a macbook pro, which has a couple of USB ports, ethernet, and a thunderbolt port.
How do we go about connecting it to an external display, such as a projector?
Can it be done?

You need a mini display port to [insert type of output required] connector. This will go in the thunderbolt port. Avoid the cheapo ones, especially if you want HDMI, they really suck bad, Ive thrown 3 away so far. I'd pay the bit extra for a belkin, moshi or apple one.A Flock of Birds

Not sure if this is of any use but I've got a spare one of these:

Let us know if it's the right port and I'll stick in the post for a fiver.0 -

Somehow I doubt it will be made by apple at that price! I reckon that was one of the really cheap copies, worth a shot though!0

Experience with the VGA ones has been pretty good, even stupid cheap ones. Hopefully yours will be ok.A Flock of Birds
