Help with Garmin speed sensor

Hi all,
Wondering if anybody else had any issues like this: I got the garmin speed/cadence sensor fitted but:
My planetX dropout closely follows my wheels. Indeed so closely that I can not fit the sensor magnet as the spokes slightly brushing the sensors already. I can't see any way how I can fit the magnet (about 4mm in size) to the spoke.
Bit annoying as I get messy readings now and the headunit starts&stops randomly.
Any solutions?
Thanks

Are you sticking this on the front forks or the rear triangle?1997 Gary Fisher Big Sur

Should be rear triangle so that the cadence sensor is attached to pedals and the little arm of the speed sensor is adjusted. Button magnet should be pretty flush to spoke if put on properly.1997 Gary Fisher Big Sur

you can rotate the arm of the sensor up so its pointing into the air this might give you more clearanceBMC TM01 - FCN 0

As you would appear to be using a cable tied cadence magnet instead of a rare earth one on the pedal screw like most of us - Could you not simply move the whole set-up up the cranks towards the rim where there is more clearance?
That is assuming that you can't reposition the arm by loosening the screw, position, tighten screw.None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.0 -

All of the above...
The pic of the well used bike above (another phrase for filthy) :-)
Shows it almost perfectly. I had a similar issue on my aero wheels and by rotating the arm to almost vertical gave plenty of clearance. You imagine it might then get caught and be easily broken by a rotating foot but in reality there's plenty of room and I've never had any problems. There's warp speed - then there's Storck Speed0 -
It's on the rear triangle, the little arm is pressed down as much as I can
Tried it fitting to the other side spoke, no luck too far away
Had it closer to the BB before but I used my old meter's magnet which went missing a couple days ago.
I'll try to lift the little arm, I hope that will do the trick, thanks!

I had this when I changed wheels on my Viner, had to stick the arm up which looks a lot more exposed but touch wood has been OK to date. It used to be like on Puff's bike (and its like that on my other bike too).0

Yep, arm upward. What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?0

Well that's exactly what I ordered and I'm using on my Volagi right now. I used two magnets to get it a bit closer to the sensor but I think my sensor was playing up so one would probably do. They're incredibly powerful. 12mm certainly fits within the spindle tapping.ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -

I just pinched a couple off the magnetic notice board in the kitchen for my bikes - they were ordered off ebay as well.0 -
Thanks all, I lifted the little arm right up, looks like I'll break it soon as I touch it but it works and that's the main thing.
Thanks again!
