hi
need a bit of help if anyone can please with my garmin 800
just started road riding and have a couple of courses downloaded off the net each approximately 15-20 mile away,i would like to ride to the start of each one and then obviously ride and record the course for further use
if i select the course will the garmin direct to the start and also will it record both journeys separately ?ie the ride to the course and then the course itself? rather than the whole 100 mile or whatever it is which is what i would prefer
thanks in advance

The timer/distance recording is separate of the navigation and will log from when you hit start. If you want the stats just for your course, just hit lap at the beginning and end of it.0

You need to "create a course" which will be the route to the course you have downloaded. I usually use bike routetoaster for course creation. You have 2 options once you get there, press lap and they will be recorded as separate laps of the same ride- or- press reset and then use other course.
Oh yeah, you'll need to have the course back home as well.Death or Glory- Just another Story0 -

The 705 will not navigate to the start. Fair play if the 800 will.
Again the 705 is not really good enough to call a satnav, i would only trust it to get me home if i was lost.-800 dont know??Death or Glory- Just another Story0
