Hey looking for some decent baggy shorts for the old man for Christmas!
Looking at roughly £50 including liner if possible. I was looking at the Endura Singletrack shorts http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=70570 I know they don't come with liner but that isn't a deal breaker, seem to get decent reviews.
Will be using them for all day riding on natural terrain, don't want anything overly baggy so no full on DH shorts please! Anyone any suggestions other than the Singletracks?

I just got some Endura Humvees, as my poppers on my old Bontrager baggies weren't staying popped. Liner seems good, I actually like the clickfast sytem as it seems to keep everything in place and the shorts aren't overly baggy, but go over my knee-pads.0

yep Humvees. Comes with decent under shorts. I don't bother with the clickfast though, it seems pointless to me.0

Take a look at Dakine shorts. I'm very happy with mine. Good fit, strong construction, practical too with pockets and vents.
They can be expensive and might be out of your budget but I have found them in the past, reduced on sale within your budget.0 -
SIngletracks are very nice - well made from good materials but the cut is on the XC side they are quite short and not baggy.
As above Humvees are more of a trail short although the materials and construction are not as good as Singletracks.
Might also consider Zymes they are tough and heavy and cheap.
Would definitely recommend ordering more than one size or trying them at your lbs. Endura's sizing varies a lot0 -
Thanks guys! Will check out the Humvees and also have a look at the Dakine ones.
Will have to order a few sizes as they are for the old man for a present.0 -
Dunno where the OP is from in Northumberland but this weekend KB cycles in Blaydon are holding a flood damage sale - all shorts are £100

http://www.royalracing.com/product/sp247-short/ Big fan of these. I picked them up in Canada on a ridiculously good deal. Not too baggy, very tough, great cut, really slippery in the right places to get off the back of the saddle and still cut well enough to have to problems getting back on (no snagging!). Forget the "Race/DH" branding, these are good all-day comfortable shorts.Trail fun - Transition Bandit
