Ordered a new bike 9 days ago. Bike was in stock and stated 2-4 days dispatch time. Money taken from my account a few days ago but no update on order and it still reads Not Yet Processed.

I will contact them tomorrow for an update but to be honest i feel like cancelling the order.

Dont get me wrong this is not another i blame Wiggle thread as i usually find them ok i just wondered if people felt this was acceptable or normal for Wiggle.

  • To me 9 days is way too long for delivery of a new bike, especially when they have taken your money

  • Have you contacted them? If so, have they responded?

Whilst, unlike some, I don't see Wiggle as virtual untouchables, and I do use them quite a bit, you should really write to them and give them a chance to respond first.

  • Yep, you should have it by now.

Ordered some mudguards from them last Tuesday. They arrived on Thursday. Couldn't fault them.
Have you checked your e mails? Surely they should have contacted you by now if there was a problem with the order.

Could be the delivery service rather than Wiggle - I had that once, the delivery service told Wiggle they'd delivered it but they hadn't (a mix up). I'd contact them.

+1 - contact them and get a response. They have let me know on previous orders if it was going to take longer. They have also NOT let me know. Good luck.

You should respond saying that it is taking too long and unless they tell you when you will receive it you will cancel the order. Unless you don't want it anymore...

If they haven't indicated a delay, that's pretty bad. Unless you really want that bike or it's a really good discount, then I'd cancel. Whatever you do, I think you should let them know that you are not satisfied.

I remember buying custom bike frames - yeah 6 weeks it will be. Never was - more like 12 - but you couldn't cancel it as you'd have lost all that time and that was the frame you wanted anyway.

Cancel the order if you want to - but for the sake of a few days ? If that is the bike you wanted ? I know leadtimes from bike shops can be substantial too.

The bike I ordered from them took less than 2 weeks to arrive, so no complaints. Wiggle has always been good to me so I will continue to give them my hard earned cash.

I ordered a bike and bits on Friday 19th ... the order was 'processed' on Tuesday 23rd and the bike was with me on Thursday 25th. It was a standard off-the-shelf bike (no mods). Can't fault them myself.

Ok so now its been 12 days. Decided to cancel as it stated "order not processed". Money taken 3/11. I was acutally unable to cancel as Wiggle say order is "about to be processed" and that was this morning. Emailed wiggle to say i am not happy - still no reply!. Order still not processed and money not refunded!

yeah but that is a bit different, if you're going to order a custom made frame you should expect to wait, nothing like an off the shelf item, as I'm sure you know cougie .....

Indeed - my point was - that whatever they said the wait would be - it would always be a LOT longer. And I hate waiting ! :-)
  • Problem with wiggle is their priority orders ie people who pay for quicker postage have their orders dispatched first. In my book orders placed today should go out before orders placed say tomorrow but not in their world. It's terrible customer service but that's how they work. I ordered my frame from then before remembering this and was panicking thinking it could go out of stock before my order is even dispatched because I didn't upgrade the post.... This is IMHO what lets them down.

That has never been my experience with Wiggle. I never bother to pay for delivery as every order has been dispatched within 24 hours. Feel sorry for anyone who gets messed about by a retailer but Wiggle are definitely not one of the bad guys.

As i said at the start i am not looking to start a wiggle bashing thread but this are going from bad to worse IMO. To make things worse i have seen another bargain on their website that i want!

They responded to my email saying the order would be cancelled no problem and that the money has not been taken. The money clearly cas been taken and i can prove this. The order that was to be cancelled has suddenly been processed yesterday afternoon but i have no order update (usually get a dispatch/order tracking email). So now i dont have a clue whats happening but the fact they claim not to have taken the money is now a real worry.

Yes I agree I think there a great shop as well. However this is what they said to me once when I contacted them regarding an order. Came directly from the horses mouth. I'm not here to try slag them off I'm merely reciting what I was told.
