  • I haven't heard anything to suggest that there will be any problems.

Not sure that they will as the new shifters work only with the new front DR which has chainspotter
  • Hmm, interesting (especially that SRAM hasn't even got 2013 on it's website yet).

I'd buy 2012 Red in the sales, you know that's fine.
  • maybe
  • 2012 red shifters (which I think are the same for 2013) do not have any trim function for the front mech (they are designed to work with the new Red Yaw front mech). So if you make use of the trim function of the Force shifters then you may not get on so well with a 2012 shifter. 2011 Red shifters have trim (but they are different in terms of feel, and have a shorter leaver than the 2012 version), 2011 versions are still easy to get. I have bikes with both, though am still building the one with 2012 shifters so can't really comment on how well they work...

as above, the new versions have no trim function, but as long as you set up the fd just right that shouldn't matter - you'll only get chainrub on combinations you shouldn't really be riding

but tbh, i'd get an earlier version, it'll be cheaper, and have the trim function

    velonews did some tests...

  • Well this might help SRAM Compatibility Chart

If someone can work that out let me know  :?
