Any recommendations for winter clothing?

Whats peoples most favourite gear for cycling in winter? Do you wear overboots, leggings, balaclavas, soft-shell or waterproof?
What leggings do people recommend? (as I need to get some, too cold in bib shorts)
Thanks.

I tend to layer up, use a sportwool ss jersey with arm warmers, normal shorts with knee warmers. Add to this a windproof/showerproof gilet in the back pocket. If it's really cold I wear roubaix biblongs and a ls merino base layer with a softshell jacket instead of the ss jersey/armwarmers. I tend to wear normal road shoes with merino socks or winter boots (Shimano rw80's) if it's really cold or wet. I do have a waterproof jacket (supposedly breathable) but often find this too warm so don't use it often.
I'll also wear a buff and a roubaix skull cap (which also covers my ears) under the helmet, plus gloves suitable for the temperature/conditions. And glasses, always. Clear lenses in the dark.
Re the leggings, I go for knee warmers - Castelli nanoflex or thermoflex and swap to the biblongs if it's really foul weather.0 -
I just got some DHB roubaix bib longs, and so far they have kept my legs toasty in sleet and snow.0

+1 the DHB longs. My Shutt softshell jacket was bought as a Xmas present two years ago and has been essential wearing below 10C since then.'fool'0

I got a pair of these too and along with the DHB Wisp jacket (with 3 other layers underneath) I was very comfy in the constant rain on Sunday.0 -
Short sleeve jersey with lovely warm Polaris Niterider jersey over the top, unpadded DHB bibtights over bibshorts, cheap market stall fleece gloves over mitts, Walz cap on head (as always).0

Yes. All of them. It's cold anyway and the windchill from cycling cools you even more.
It was 3 degrees out yesterday a I saw people in shorts, or short sleeve tops and with no gloves. Brrrr.0 -
Why not come and join us :?:0 -
Cold / light rain: DHB roubaix bib tights, merino ls base layer, Gore Phantom jacket, wooly boolie socks, PX neoprene overshoes, winter gloves, couple of buffs.
Seriously wet: as above except swap the jacket for a ls jersey and Gore Path jacket.
The Roubaix bibs keep you warm even when wet, as long as you keep moving0 -
I used to layer up majorly before realising that blocking wind-chill was the key, so wind-proof fabrics are the thing. Here's my winter wardrobe...
either Sportful No-Rain Leg Warmers (under regular bibs) if only cool:

...OR Btwin membrane windproof bibs if cold:

Gore Oxygen Windstopper soft shell:

either a basic short sleeve base if just cool OR a long sleeve merino zippable base if windy/cold (zip gives temp. adjustment):

Prendas Thermolite socks & Air Tunnel gloves:

Planet X Overshoes:

Thin microfleece beanie up top if cold.
Enough info?!
Plus some sort of mudguards to keep the road cack off you!0
