Budget Road Frames

I'm in need of a new frame (and matching forks, perhaps?), it's going to have to be a 'budget' one, so c. £500. It'll be used for training (not in the winter) and racing so no ridiculously long head tubes or such! Carbon would be cool, but it doesn't need to be a majorly stiff (I weigh sod all).
I've come across planet x, via On-One and Ribble but I don't know of many other options. Any other options?
Thanks!
And I'm sure some will comment saying 'use the search function', but I've got a dissertation to write.

There is a cannondale caad 9 on classifieds for £3000

Yes - I bought (and built) a mate a bike (Condor Italia) for around £600 all in, buying most of the parts in classifieds. Condor Italia frame and fork for under £200 - there are defo some bargains in there. Second-hand is going to get you a damn=site more bang for your buck.
Some people will suggest a Chinese import frame - (use the search function(!) there is a wealth of information on there!)
Parker have a carbon £500 frame: http://www.parker-international.co.uk/1 ... -Fork.html
You also might want to look at Dolan Bikes - the Mythos is £400 I think: http://www.dolan-bikes.com/Carbon%20Roa ... 20FrameSet
There seem to be a couple of options at CRC as well: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Cate ... goryID=626

CRC - Vitus, Ribble or Planet X I'd say.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

For something more unusual, these are decent budget frames. It's small UK firm with a good, local reputation - like the others mentioned, they're OEM Chinese frames.

What size are you looking for I'm about to post in classified my barely used Ribble carbon sportive frameset, seat post and record headset, size 52 but note a slopping 52 in the Ribble sportive is more like a 54 traditionalRule #5 // Harden The Feck Up.
Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
