My fully custome Look 595

Hi all, I thought I'd share with you my current summer bike which is a fully custom Look 595 ultra. I originally bought the from in 2006/2007 when it was first released and I've since had it sprayed as I got bored with the original colour. Anyway I have attached a link to the pics as I've no idea how to show them here. Hope you like it. Thanks

Nice - another Leeds based Look! Interesting paint job - are those rivets on the fork?!! Where did you get it done?

I think it would look better with plain black tyres though. And I'm pretty sure that most Looks are fully custom as they've only recently started selling complete bikes rather than frames only.

Spasypaddy will be along shortly to make some more flattering comments about your bike!

For a direct link to the pic you need the image as a url with eg a jpg image type. Photobucket just gives you a link to the file so it's easy.

Thanks the tyres in the pic came with the wheels and when I took the pics I hadn't changed them. They have been swapped to conti gp4000s. But I haven't taken any more pics since...
The paint is of rivets yes, this was all airbrushed after the base coat of white was done. A friend of mine who is an airbrush artist sprayed it. He's based in brighouse.

How do you find riding on the black elastomer? (i have to say i kept the red in as it matches my colour scheme...)

Thanks.... I have to be honest I didn't know there was any difference I thought they were the exact same plastic spacers, but different coloured, are they not?

I love the ride of the bike though. But after having it now for 5 yrs + I've just bought a Cervelo r5 to build as a new summer bike and still undecided weather or not to keep this or sell it.

yeah the elastomers give different ride qualities.

grey is soft
red is medium
black is hard

I've only ever had the black in so that's all I know. Then again now knowing this I wouldn't want the others as I like the stiffness feel of the frame.

Yes I have red also I'm saying I've never had them in. There in the look pouch that I got when I bought the frame.

Well I've had a problem since I stripped it, it had helicopter tape on the stay to stop it marking which I took off and it brought some of the paint away so that area now is all marked. Very annoying. There is nothing wrong with the frame but the paint work is damaged.

Are you looking to have it resprayed or keep it as it is? Make me an offer.

Yes it's easily fixed but £500 is too low even with the damaged paint. If you can do £750 then I'd let it go but that really would be my minimum. There truly amazing frames and its been very well looked after.

Thanks, yes no problem there just standard blk plastic Tacx Tao bottle cages. Most places sell them. You can pick them up for around £12 each. If you wanted more bling you can buy a carbon version but personally I didn't think the carbon was worth the extra £££.

It's no bother at all. Yes I still have All the elastomers, there are 3 black for a stiff ride and 2 red for a softer ride. I also have the original look pouch folder that came with the frame, in that there I are the original look booklets accompanied with 2 cd/DVDs. I also have the original guid to cut down the seat post which I can send. And there is also a look carbon 10mm spacer for the headset I never used.
The measurement from the centre of b&b to the saddle rails measures 73 and 1/2 cm and the measurement from the bottom of the front fork to the top of the steerer measures 61 and 1/2 cm. I can box the frame up and post it no problem. Is there anything else you need to know?

Any chance of getting the guy who did the spray job to touch up/respray the stays?

I'd need to contact him and ask, I'm sure that wouldn't be a problem but I know he's currently unwell and in and out of hospital so I'm not sure if he's working ATM. What if he cannot do it? How do u stand? I'm going to advertise it on eBay as it needs to go and the damaged paint will cover with a chain stay protector.

If he cant do it I'm still in, but obviously be great if he could.I'm in no hurry for it but can put forward some money with the rest on completion?
