I relieved our local landfill of a pretty decent bmx (condition, I don't expect it's a terribly good one).

Anyway,it being 30 years since I last had a BMX, how do I get the front wheel off?

It's got those long pegs on. I suspect I need a really long socket. 15mm?

What about the 360 degree headset and split brake cable thingy? If I want to replace the cables does it all come as a set?

The pegs are screwed on like a nut, so unscrew them....

The Splitter comes as a kit and then you either get that with included cables or buy them seperately!
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

the nut could be a few sizes as it depends on the axle size. Pegs are not normally threaded.

As for the gyro, ditch it, as they are more trouble than they're worth, unless you're planning alot of double tailwhips and bar spins. They just make your back break hopeless.

Yes good tip. I plan on doing nothing of the sort.
