Montane Featherlite Velo Sizing Help

Trying to determine proper size. I'm 5'10", 36" waist, 41" chest. Montanes' chart says Large is right for my chest size but my gut may be a little too big. Do these have a little extra room in the waist or are they a fairly close fit? I've also seen it mentioned that you should order up a size larger as their chart isn't quite accurate. Unfortunately the nearest shop to carry Montane is 500mi away.

    I purchased it via CRC, have the bright yellow one in medium. Ordered a M and a L, and was able to return the L due to the free return policy in the UK.

    As a medium, I am 5ft 8, 32-33 wasit and 38/39 chest. Never bothered to try the L since M was the better. M has generous length/ height and elasticated waist. I think L would might just fit (hope they have a refund/ exchange policy. Good luck!

    I bought a large which has never been worn and I have now purchased a medium. Mine is black/charcoal with full zip. I am 5'10", 34" waist, 12 1/2 stone 40 inch chest. The medium fits better for me over summer thin jerseys and gilets and I wanted it figure hugging so that it does not catch the wind. If I wanted to wear it over a winter thicker jacket I would keep the large. Similarly, when I bought the large I had a bit of a stomach and weighed 14 stones. The large is for sale.
