If the passing motorist who stopped to help me, when I was stranded on an unnamed road in the middle of nowhere between Knockando and Dallas, is reading this...

I thank you so much for saving me at the side of the road, putting me and the bike into your car and going out of your way to drop me off in the nearest town. You saved me from a very long and cold walk.

I'm hope you come on this forum as you said you used to do a lot of bike racing and we had a good chat about cycle routes, Lance Armstrong and the TDF.

Thanks again, I owe you.

    Why were you stranded/needed rescuing?

    Poorly bike maybe?
  • That's great to hear as today was not a day for hanging around, certainly restores my faith in human nature

If you didn't, get a flat repair kit/saddle bag.
If you had one, bring 2 CO2 cartridges and a spare tube/clue/patches
If you did, bring a pump.

Regardless, that's great, and I'm glad somebody stopped to help you out; would have definitely sucked.

Try getting a friend to know that you're leaving so you can have a car pick you up in times of need? If you were to get hurt or something, you'll need some assistance.
