Hi guys
I bought a 2013 trek madone 2.1 this morning and didnt notice it had a H3 positioning wich is the highest compared to H2 and H1. Can i convert it to a H2 and what exactly do i have to change? Is it only the stem or is it the headset or is the whole frame designed differently on each "H#" ?
Looking forward to your replies thanks yall

The frame geometry is different -> mainly in the head tube.
Page 13 explains it and gives a visual representation where you can see the headtube differences: http://www.trekbikes.com/pdf/2011/bg/us/my11_usbg_road.pdf
You may be able to achieve a similar fit to a H2 but you're going to need to slam the stem.. which will lengthen the reach and may not be ideal.
Did the shop you bought it from explain the geometry differences to you? maybe H3 is more appropriate anyway?0 -
