Pompetamine Mechanical Discs Recommendation?

Ordered a On-One Pompetamine frame and AVid BB7 (MTB version) to go with it. I have the drop bars and long pull road levers that work with MTB cable brakes.
I was a bit surprised however to find that the rear caliper is pretty much wedged into position in the slotted dropouts! The clearance is so tight that the caliper is pushed right up against the seatstay meaning the slotted bolt holes for the caliper mount cannot be used when you move the wheel in the slotted dropouts.
Now it seems to me that this would be quite a common spec considering a lot of people will use this frame with drop bars and there are not that many different kinds of Mechanical Disc brakes about.
Anyway, i was just wondering if any riders out there had had any luck with this frame, drop bars and mechanical discs?
Not sure its worth starting the build now :O( Shame, was looking forward to it as well.
Cheers

Could the position of the wheel in the drop-out and hence brake be down to a particular gear combination? May be worth contacting P-X?Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
