removing frame bearings

What is the best way of removing the bearings from a frame without having a specialist tool? I am going to be doing this for the first time to my new socom which has rather a lot of pivots... and to the main pivot on my Canyon before I sell it on. I've heard that it can be done with a socket and G clamp. But any guidance / advice on how best to do it?

it depends on how they are put together.
I would Mail Intense and ask.
but first strip it down and have a look then ask and post pics."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Not much help to you but most of the bearings on my Rize are glued in place with Loctite 638 just heat them up with the mrs best hairdryer and they drop out.
Only the main pivot on the swingarm needs a drift. Unbolt the swingarm and then it's easy to tap the old bearings out from the inside.
But as above the manufacturers or the bike shop will be able to help.0 -

as you have a 4 bar there should not be anything mad just make sure you press the bearings in straight NOT easy with a G clamp due to the wobbly bit."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

i found the frame bearings werent too hard, it was the rocker link bearings that were the hardest. Lots of grease helped, but as Nick said, with the wobbly bit you need to go slow and dont force anything
i found my socket extension was best for removing. The smaller end fitted perfectly into the bearing and through the spaces in the frame so you could just hammer them out.0 -
Any one know of a good place to purchse bearings online? We don't have a good hardware store in newark.0
