Hi all iv just gone from fox float 140 to marzocchi 66 180mm travel on my rocky mountain altitude ,
The plan was to reduce them to 150/160mm but the geometry feels better ... my measurments indicate about 30mm difference in axle to crown height ,,,,,,,do I need to reduce the travel or will it be ok on my frame stress wise ,
Any input appreciatated

unless someone has had that frame, put 180mm forks on it and discovered whether it snaps, no-one will know. Its liable to invalidate your warranty, but thats your call. Myself, I would go for it! But then I do lots of experimentation others wouldn't.

Thanks for your thoughts ,personally I'm thinking it will be ok also frame was secondhand so no warranty issue anyway,..
