  • I knew someone who nearly decked me when I showed him the 'unroll one ply to fix it' trick. To be fair I was laughing rather unsympathetically, and he had been loudly ranting to anyone in the office in ear-shot that the toilet roll was 'broken'....

When people use unoriginal, notwitty, derogatory nicknames like Ed Millipede or Tony B.Liar. I tend to ignore anything which follows.

Holland caps are only 92-96% effective.

Back on topic. Diamonds. Why spend £8,000 on an engagement ring when a shiny bit of glass would look almost as good.

You're not going to....? After the last debacle, I thought you learnt your lesson.

PM me if you need an inexpensive one, I have a few on offer.

Practise makes perfect. If you have a 1ct solitaire, white gold with a slightly hammered finish in your collection, I'm all ears.

Do you honestly want an engagement ring made of rusty old recycled ring-pulls :P

Much better than that. I have some 10mm copper onions which polish up nicely.

I'm sure we've had tattoos before, and I've never seen any tattoo where I've thought "Well, that's an improvement".

However, what induces a good looking lass to have stuff written on herself, like this....

    megan%252Bfox%252Btattoo%252Bbody.jpg

I just don't understand it. What is it for? She knows what it says, but presumably can only ever read it in a photograph or if she has two mirrors set up just so. I can't read it unless the exchange goes something like this........

"Hold still, hold still, right, put your arm up a bit more, that's it. Just let me get me glasses on. Ah-ha. You've spelt it wrong, never mind"

The older I get, the better I was.
