When we went on holiday to California the best service was in a place that claimed it was rude to staff. Nearly didn't go in because we thought it would be a bit naff. We were served by a lovely woman, a touch younger than me but older than the other staff. She wasn't rude at all, I was so grateful for the lack of false pleasantries and what I considered normal service.

Bike chain in the middle of the road. Why leave it there if it broke? Surely it's salvageable or even if not you should take it away with you. Looked in ok condition.
Very trivial I know I'm the type to complain about cyclists leaving a load of co2 canisters behind after fixing punctures only to be told they're probably a gas used for getting high.
BTW you can make a perfectly good fidget spinner using a bit of old chain, cable ties and an old bearing. Recycling or upscaling old bike kit is better than leaving it in the road.0 -
Car drivers throwing all the packaging from their fast food out onto the road or grass verge -- our verges are full of rubbish where I live -- I've had stuff being thrown out in front of me while on bicycle. Once it happened my motorbike but then I had a fit of road rage and raced passed at warp speed taking off the drivers door mirror with the left handle bar end. --0

A couple of times I've stopped to pick up fag butts thrown out of car windows as pulling up to the front at traffic lights on a motorbike. The first time I threw it back in through the open window and rode off leaving much panic in that car and much honking of horns from those behind him. The second one saw I was picking it up so wound his window up. I left the smouldering fag on the plastic trim between the bonnet and the windscreen. I suspect they are both too stupid and selfish to learn anything, but it was very satisfying. I hate seeing people drop litter, not completely trivial either.0

Having to lose more weight because the new incarnation of Ultegra is heavier than the old,
According to bikeradar the R8000 comes in at a weight of 2340g
According to "Road CC" the 6800 comes in at a weight of 2297g
Keeping under 90kg is hard enough, another 47g could be a killer…0 -

I throw the leaflet away as soon as I open them, much to the disapproval of the GF.

Paidoutbrain ads for The Chase. I have zero interest in the program and cannot see any news value in what contestants did or didn't say. I 'm beginning to hate the program without ever seeing it.0

I have little smirk when I see Latin-written gravestones or commemorative plaques in churches. They were probably great people, did something special and were worth remembering but now almost no-one knows what they did or why they are there. Put there by elitist idiots.
(But "Salve Grumio" always makes me chuckle, ITV's "Plebs" in case you're not familiar with it)

Well, not protein in itself, but normal products that have added Protein to appeal to the "fitness" crowds.
