Hi, I will be ordering a new bike in the next few days. I need something road friendly and quick, I'd prefer not to get a racing style bike and have settled on a hybrid (the sportier the better). I am stuck (pretty much) between a Focus Arriba 3.0 and a Scott Speedster 50 (both flat bars).
I know very little about these bikes and am in the process of doing a bit of googling to get more of an idea. However if anyone has any opinions or knowledge of either it would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks...

If you have narrowed your choice to these 2 from the hundreds that must be available then it seems a pretty simple answer to me. Test ride the 2 bikes and buy the 1 you like best.Look 595 ultra - F+F for sale.....
Cervelo r5
Kinesis T2 2013 winter bike
Merida Carbon 1500 flx MTB0 -
Ha ha,,, when you put it like that it sounds simple and I wonder why I let it rattle around in my brain. Neither of these bikes are in stock at my local dealer so difficult to test. I might just draw straws...0

personally specialized sirrus or a boardman0

The Boardman hybrids look good - agreed. I'd probably put my money there.
Chain reaction cycles sell a Vitus one that looks nice too - tight tyre clearance though if you want full guards.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0 -
I reallty enjoyed my Sirrus expert as a hybrid - though I did eventually convert it to drop handlebars - just got sick of headwinds blowing me backwards0
