Great year, but with ice & snow in N Scotland, cycling now becoming distant memory. Fabulous summer, melting to wee blob on the big cols of French Alps, but the highlights were probably found nearer the home patch - October in Ardnamurchan Peninsula took some beating for cracking weather, quiet roads, friendly folk, and kind hills.

Could not agree any more with you Marik - been to the big hills in the Alps, Pyrennees etc but some of my best days have been on the west coast of Scotland. See my original post as my weekend up north was the one of my best times on a bike ever.

A good year for me too. My stats from Strava say…

    Year-to-Date
    Distance 12,333.1km
    Time 438hr 47m
    Elev Gain 105,810m
    Rides 194

I did the Dragon Ride for the first time, and the Somerset Hills Grandondo.

Racing wise I did a new PB of 56.35 on a road bike for a 25, and a second place in a 2/3 road race bagged me the 25 points I needed to cling on to my 2nd cat licence for another year.
