Hi

Just started commuting to work, its only 4.7 miles so no excuses really.

As the weather gets colder I want to stay comfy so I keep using the bike.

At the moment I am wearing a wicking top, DWR Ron Hills and an Altura sweaty waterproof. What should will be more comfy as It gets cooler?:

I was thinking a windproof may be more breathable:

And maybe some altura night vision tights?

Also, can anyone recommend some lights? Most of my route is lit but some of it has no streetlights.

Cheers,

Mick

For lights I'd get Cree XML-T6 torches from ebay, cheap and powerful. With two I can ride happily at 30mph on unlit roads.

In winter I wear my summer top under my thicker winter top. If it's very cold or wet I wear the summer top under a smock, it has zips up the sides to keep me cool if needed. You'll also want a helmet liner / skull cap and some neoprene overshoes.

Bought an amazing Cree front light. What should I do on the rear?

If I didn't already have my SMART I'd get one of these:

I also have a small Cateye rear light that comes on an elastic cord and ties onto my helmet, can't find a link to it alas. Got it last year.
