I have 700x23 tyres on my supersix , fairly new to road bikes , but have a good feel for traction / grip after riding motorbikes on track a fair bit ,
Are the 23s a suitable size for winter or should I be looking at something different ?
Also if I am needing to change them for winter riding ( allbeit in the better winter weather ) what brand / type should I go for?
Not sure what the general thoughts are on summer / winter tyre sizes ...
Thanks in advance .

I run 25mm on my winter bike just to reduce pressures but I cant say there is much difference other than a bit more comfort.most important thing is a good p***ture belt hence conti gatorskins and spesh armadillos are popular choices in winter.
Whats the solution? Just pedal faster you baby.

Yes 25mm will fit unless you want to run mudguards (cruds or similar) then the guard will probably not fit with a 25mm tyre.

    Yes

Might get more replies if you amended the bizarre title of this thread.

Unless you intend at some point to enlighten everyone about the different sizes of tyre sand........
