Forest of Bowland
hi
anyone done forest of bowland route as described in mbuk november?
would be interested to try it
also looking to ride natural trails local to preston area. longridge fell. rivington. penine bridleway lancs section etc. any info or riding buddies welcome. just getting back into mtb after a long lay off
so easier pace preffered ! if poss

I don't know about the mbuk route but if you are feeling adventurous and fancy some xc I would recommend the Salter Fell route on here, it is tough but rewarding and very isolated. http://www.forestofbowland.com/cycle-routesSmarter than the average bear.0

Me and a mate did this route on road bikes a few years ago! We rode from preston and returned via quernmore
Think we did around 70 miles all told.
Was a bit heavy going
over top of salter fell and we had to shoulder bikes at one stage.
Would deffo recommend doing on mtb . Only problem is route will be there and back but there is a pub or 2
At both ends so you could have lunch either way ! 8) 8)0
