I was wondering if any of you kind people can recommend a winter cycling glove. I am entering my first winter on my road bike. I have some full finger gloves and went out for a nice 30 miler at the weekend and my fingers nearly fell off it was that cold. I have seen so many gloves online with a huge price range i am stuck on what gloves to buy.
Any tips and advice. Thank you

See if Aldi still have any of thiers left. They are quite thick and clumbersome to get used to, but bloody hell you don't feel the cold!0

I use the altura night vision ones that come with a liner. RRp is about £40, but you can get them from about £25 if you look around, work fine for me.0

Go for something that has a separate liner/inner and water/windproof outer as this provides maximum versatility for a range of temperatures / conditons.
Effectively 3 gloves in one as you can wear either layer on it's own or together for the most severe days.Yellow is the new Black.0 -
Have a look at Sealskinz gloves in Wiggle.0

I've found that the best way to keep my fingers warm on the coldest days is to use two pairs of gloves, a thin liner glove and then a proper winter glove on top.
I got a pair of Pro gloves from Chain Reaction for a tenner last year and used them with some Ronhill liner gloves and survived the winter in relative comfort!0 -
I've had some SealSkinz for a few years now that are good down to about 2C. Below that I add a merino liner glove or move to my Craft Lobster mitts (cumbersome but amazing).
Above 5C I just use DeFeet Dura (the wool version).0 -
Planet -X. Costs 5.99 for the early winter pair and 9.99 for the proper cold/wet.
Highly recommended. Wore the 5.99 ones all last winter and while I suffered at times, I reckon the 9.99 ones (new for 2012) will be perfect for the super frosty days.0 -
I just use fleece gloves from the market over my mitts. Works very well.0

This is the p-x bundle my housemate has:

The black full fingers look amazing, as do the overshoes.
I have the 'winter cycling gloves' 6.99
the 'deluge' gloves are 14.99 which are the ones in the 4 seasons pack and look epic, even when wet!0 -
I've worn these a couple of times so far and first impressions are great. In fact my hands have been a bit sweaty!

How do the Sizes come out for these gloves.0 -
I think they measure slightly on the small side. I have M/L and id say mu hands aren't that big, but they are a treny bit loose.
Those prices are actually wrong, apologies. See my lower post for the actual items I meant to refer to0 -
picked up a pair of Nike running gloves and i wear them under my summer gloves so i dont loose the feel of summer gloves0

I know it seems a bit wacky: I have these in the 1.5 mm and they are FANTASTIC for road cycling in the winter.

Wouldn't recommend Endura Deluge even though I like them for cold weather riding they're not insulative enough for freezing cold weather and they're not waterproof either, they soak it up like a sponge.
Sealskinz super grip gloves are pretty good, fairly decent waterproofing and quite warm due to the merino wool lining.CAPTAIN BUCKFAST'S CYCLING TIPS - GUARANTEED TO WORK! 1 OUT OF 10 RACING CYCLISTS AGREE!0 -
They are fleece inside and very warm and I have no trouble with gears or pressing the switch on my magic shine lights to chnge modes.0
