Antarctica is one of my favourite places on earth. As a magazine writer and photographer I have had the good fortune to travel down there a lot in the past, generally on assignments for Time and National Geographic but also as a guest lecturer on some of the expedition ships that take tourists down there these days. The other day when I was sorting through some old photo files on my Lightroom library I came upon this series of landscape photos I took when I was travelling along the Antarctic peninsula and in South Georgia Island a few years ago; I'd forgotten all about them. And although my website is ostensibly about cycling, I've posted a selection of my favourites.

Really want to go to Antarctica. Mrs A's old man was Captain of HMS Endurance for some time and has some great pictures.
