Minimal clearance mudguards - please help

I have a Focus Cayo and I have just upgraded the tyres to gp4000s which give me a lot more confidence.
However, I cannot get mudguards to fit the tight frame. I tried Crud Roadracer mk2 but they were too tight even after filing down. No fear, I read that the SKS raceblades can fit practically any bike. Nope, the tyres are stuck to the mudguard join under the rear caliper even though they are not fully inflated.
Any ideas please as this is costing me a fortune and time and is surprisingly stressful.
thanks

Your bike is not designed to take mudgaurds. You only have room to put a race blade or similar on your seat stays. It would keep the worst of the spray off. race blades may fit on the fork but often foul the downtube. The good news is that you have an excuse to buy a winter bike.0

Thanks for the reply.
I just sold my Roubaix Elite with the plan of using this as the winter bike :S
I am going to try and build a metal join to go over the brakes and not under.0
